Meet the Soldiers / Tour and Workshop

A 2-days tour via Anlong Veng (Pol Pot's graveyard near the Thai border) towards Preah Vihear. On top of the mountain we'll meet Cambodian soldiers who are still in a standoff with Thai troops. We will stay overnight in a basic guesthouse near the temple site...

About the photographer:

Dutch photographer Eric de Vries is living in Siem Reap, Cambodia, the country he's been travelling since 2000, and is currently working on two long-term projects called 'Still Life in Khmer Style' that covers landscapes, temple scenes and buddha statues and 'Hello Darling', which is about the girlbars in Phnom Penh. In the meantime he produced several series, most of them in black and white. Breaking The Clouds (Over Ayuthaya), Khmer Standoff (at Preah Vihear), LOST and TAPED! are 4 new series, which saw the light recently.
