The 7-day photographic experience, led by photographer Eric de Vries, is a more unique photo-opportunity to explore Cambodia's northeast province of Ratanakiri with its hilltribes and rural life, breathtaking scenery and old Chinese settlements, guided by the photographer with photo-shoots, workshops and lots of personal advice

day 1: From Phnom Penh to Ban Lung (Ratanakiri) by car/minivan. We'll stop in Kompong Cham, Kratie and Stung Treng

day 2: Explore Ban Lung with photo-sessions at local market, pagoda and Reclining Buddha on top of the hill

day 3: Photo shoots at hilltribe villages, primitive rural life

day 4: Elephant trekking to waterfall, post-production workshop by volcanic lake

About the photographer:
Dutch photographer Eric de Vries is living in Siem Reap, Cambodia, the country he's been travelling since 2000, and is currently working on two long-term projects called 'Still Life in Khmer Style' that covers landscapes, temple scenes and buddha statues and 'Hello Darling', which is about the girlbars in Phnom Penh. In the meantime he produced several series, most of them in black and white. Breaking The Clouds (Over Ayuthaya), Khmer Standoff (at Preah Vihear), LOST and TAPED! are 4 new series, which saw the light recently. Eric is member of SEA/collectiv, a Cambodian based agency...

day 5: Old Chinese influence in Voen Sai, a boat ride on Tonle San River to Kachon (Tompuon cemetery)

day 6: Going south to the ghost-town of Lumphat, through several minority villages. In the evening a workshop on documentary photography based on earlier shoots

day 7: Back to Phnom Penh with stops in Stung Treng, Kratie and Kompong Cham before having dinner in Phnom Penh
