PHOTOGRAPHY TOURS TO REMOTE TEMPLES IN CAMBODIA

* Beng Melea and Koh Ker in a Day / photo tour

Beng Melea and Koh Ker
Lovely trip through the countryside to visit Beng Melea and Koh Ker. Beng Melea features in the movie Two Brothers and is a so called jungle temple. Of course we explore that temple before bus loads of tourist will enter the site. It's just less than an hour drive from Beng Melea to Koh Ker with the beautiful towers of Prasat Pram and Prasat Nean Khmau.

* Banteay Chhmar - photo tour incl. street photography session

"Improve your photography skills"

A 2-day trip to the remote temple of Banteay Chhmar which does not see many tourists. We will have an afternoon session at the temple and on day 2 we will start early to explore the temple in different light. The trip is in combination with a street photography session in the town of Sisophon where we also will be staying in a hotel for 1 night. Transport is by car.

And also:
tailor made multiple days tour/workshop to the remote temples of Preah Vihear close to the Thai border in combination with Koh Ker. Just send me an email.

About the tours and workshops

Passion for Photography is All You Need
Photo Cambodia customers are both professional and amateur photographers. We welcome enthusiastic photographers of all skill levels on our tours. Our aim is simply to help you, find and create images that express your unique experience in Cambodia.

All tours and workshops are private so no team-up with strangers for the best approach, exploring and teaching. All tours and workshops are flexible. We will try to avoid the big crowds so we have more time to work on our photographs. Because the tours are flexible we can start early morning until lunchtime and start again late afternoon for the Golden Hour (option)

What to bring?
Camera: DSLR and high standard mirrorless cameras
Lenses: medium zooms and wide-angles are recommended
Raincoat (during monsoon season)
Charged batteries and charger
Formatted memory cards
Sunscreen, hat and scarf for sun protection
Comfortable shoes a must!
Bug spray during the rainy season
Laptop including Adobe Lightroom for editing workshop participators

All tours and workshops are not for phone, tablets and Go-Pro shooters.
If you don't have a decent camera you can borrow the brand new entry-level Nikon D3300 with 18-55mm lens which we got especially for our clients. No extra charges.

More information and how to book?
Please send email to Photo Cambodia and tell us which date(s) and which tour(s). Eric will reply within 24 hrs about availability and how to proceed.

The cameras I use

Sometimes I get questions from (potential) clients what cameras/lenses I use. Well… look at the picture. I got the Nikon D700 full frame using at the moment only for portrait sessions. The very handy Fuji X100T is mainly for street photography. The Fuji X-Pro 1 (love that camera) with a 10-24mm, 35mm and 60mm I carry in and around the temples and during other photo tours/workshops and last but no least… the analog Olympus OM-1 with 24-70mm. Since a couple of months I started to use the film camera during street photography sessions and developed the B/W films again after many years by myself in Ilford ID-11.

My mission is to show you the best spots and locations in Angkor and Cambodia during your photo tour and workshop, by sharing my experience and my knowledge of photography to help you understand your equipment and achieve your goals, and to take you on incredible photo tours and workshops that will inspire you for the rest of your life.
